We are New York State’s largest pawnbroker which has been in business over 67 years with over 28 locations in the greater New York City metropolitan area. We have GIA certified employees, are committed to the professional practices of the Jewelers of America, and are regulated by the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs.

A: Our jewelry comes from purchases made in our brick and mortar storefronts. Each item is appraised and inspected by GIA certified employees of Gem. All of our items are pre-owned, which means we can offer our customers the lowest prices possible, while also allowing them to shop at ease knowing each piece has been inspected and certified by experts. We are committed to only buying the highest quality items in order to give our valued customers the peace of mind they need when it comes to purchasing jewelry. 

A: Gem stands out for our decades of experience and our focus on total customer satisfaction. Additionally, the fact that our jewelry is pre-owned allows us to offer the lowest prices possible to our customers, while also offering certified, inspected, and high quality items. Gem Pawnbrokers knows the meaning of real customer service. Our customers have been here for us since 1947 and we thank them for making Gem the largest and most respected pawnbroker in New York State.

A: We currently offer a wide range of jewelry. We have chains, rings, watches, bracelets, necklaces, charms, and earrings. You can find pieces with Diamonds, various types of Gemstones, and all levels of purity of Gold, Silver, and Platinum.

A: We currently do not accept submissions via the website, however, feel free to contact us at support@gempawn.net, and one of our dedicated employees will see what we can do for you. Furthermore, if you are near the New York City area, feel free to stop by one of storefronts for an appraisal.

A: We currently offer free United States Postal Service First Class shipping on all orders. For orders over $5000 we offer free overnight shipping, all at no extra cost to our customers!

A: Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Additionally, we cannot process a refund if the item is sent back with the product information tag removed. Please make sure the tag has not been removed if you would like to return an item.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment in a timely manner.
